Audio Tours

Looking for something new to stand out in the crowd?Audio Tours

Audio tours and podcasts entertain and educate visitors about your destination, attraction, museum or historical site.

With the use of narration, character voices, sound effects, and music, audio tours engage the listener and leave them with a memorable experience.

Our services include:

  • Creation of an original script or enhancement of an existing one
  • Creation of family and/or adult tours
  • Integration of archival audio visual materials into the tour
  • Tours offered through a variety of listening devices (iPods, mp3 players, cell phones, kiosks, etc)
  • Multilingual tours

Listen to some audio tour examples:

Edgar Allen Poe Museum | Listen now! Click to listen now!
This is an example of an exhibit with a permanent home.  Again music and character voice compliment the subject (which in this track is Poe’s poetry).  Even though this exhibit is in a stationary location, the tracks can be re-ordered, added and subtracted to enhance any changes that the curator wishes to make.

Titanic, The Artifact Tour | Listen now! Click to listen now!
This recording was designed for a traveling exhibit.  Notice the use of music and character voices to take the listener back in time to the early 1900s and the sinking of the luxury ship that was touted as “unsinkable”.

Space and Rocket Center - Huntsville, Alabama (podcast) | Listen now! Click to listen now!
This is an excerpt of a podcast.  Instead of a tour that tells a story or recreates an event, this project spotlights the various highlights of a city which promotes the destination to the potential visitor.

Bowling Green, Kentucky Civil War Tour track | Listen now! Click to listen now!
This is a good example of music and sound effects enhancing a story.  Two drownings occur in this section.  To keep it from sounding redundant, one is created using the sound of horses and screams while the second drowning uses swirling music to pull the listener along into the whirlpool of tragedy.

Aberdeen, Mississippi Historic Tour | Listen now! Click to listen now!
Music plays a major part in this piece.  The track covers about 100 years of Aberdeen’s entertainment.  Listen how the music reflects the different periods.  When designing a tour, we are able to pull from our extensive music library and/or create original pieces to reflect the time, mood, event or character of a script.

Marietta, Georgia Basic Tour | Listen now! Click to listen now!
This is an example of a basic tour for a group that wants to offer a “visitor experience” but has limited resources.  Although there are no sound effects or character voices, some music is used to set the mood and compliment the narration.

Video using archival video footage and/or photos is much more affordable than paying for an “on location shoot“.  It can create an experience that will promote a destination to tour operators, travel agents, families, groups and individuals or enhance the visitor experience on site.
